Club Members now train at Newquay Tretherras Dance Studio, Junior Entrance Trevenson Road, Newquay TR7 3BH
Traning re-commences on 4th January
Open Sessions
Monday & Wednesday 6:30 - 8:30pm
all female session on Wednesday 5:00 - 6:00pm
First session free and then £3.00 a session all at the Dance studio at Newquay Tretherras.
All boxers will pay a registration fee of £10 and then £3.00 a session
Due to several reasons the show planned for March 17th is now been cancelled. Camborne club will now take over the date.

- Active/Carded Boxers Juniors (11 - 17 years) x 6 (1 x Female)
- Active/Carded Boxers Seniors (17 - 33 years) x 9
- Recreational (aiming to be carded) x 20 (3 x Female)
For competing once carded (this is when deemed to be fit and able to box competetively by the head coach) boxers are matched by weight, experience and age. All boxers undergo a full medical examination pre-season and also pre-bout.
Boxing season is September to May with competitions taking place throughout Cornwall, Western Counties and beyond.

Newquay Amateur Boxing Club is indebted to two local businessmen who have both donated £5,000 and put the boxing club on the right road as income is only available by staging boxing tournaments primarily as it costs in the region of £1,500 simply to put a tournament on!
There are three types of tournaments:
- Open Shows - usually taking place at the Newquay Sports Centre
- Dinner Boxing Shows - boxing + dinner + auction
- Championships - held annualy at all levels of boxing
The club will soon be launching its "Buy a Brick" fundraising where each ticket for a brick costs £1 and the purchaser will be recorded in a special book.
All proceeds will be going towards a new/permanent venue for Newquay Amateur Boxing Club. The New Build will not only be a state of the art premises for boxing training, but will be the centre of excellence for boxing in Cornwall and will also be available for hire to many other user groups, for either physical training and/or simply for meeting room purposes.
- Land donated by Cornwall Council on 50 years lease on site of previous "Tobbogan Run" in Trenance Park, Newquay.
- Planning permission granted by Cornwall Council.
- Newquay Town Council grant £20,000 towards the build.
